    Otterbein Driver


    The Otterbein Driver operates Community-owned vehicles to provide authorized transportation for residents and partners.  This position exists in order to enhance the lives and nurture the growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner and by communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to attain goals.


    • Operates small and medium size cars, passenger vans plus up to 30 seat vehicles to transport passengers.
    • Inspects, services and cleans vehicles.
    • Interacts positively with residents, family members, visitors, and other partners under a variety of conditions and circumstances.
    • Pumps gasoline and diesel fuel, checks oil, water and other fluid levels, provides routine under the hood service inspections.
    • Performs routine clean-up operations in the service area and transportation building shop areas, such as sweeping and washing floors.


    Education: High School diploma or equivalent
    Licensure/Certification: Valid Ohio Driver’s License, Clean Driving Record, and Passenger CDL required.
    Experience: Three years of car, van or bus driving or equivalent vehicle experience required.
    Skills: Ability to drive all vehicles required and to do pre-trip inspection of vehicle.  Skilled to communicate courteously and effectively with residents and other partners required.  Capacity to find locations using standard road maps as well as written and verbal directions.
    Location:  Lebanon Campus

    Shift:  1st

    Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Holidays, Weekends and Overtime as needed.
