    We are looking for caring, dedicated Dietary Aides and Dishwashers to work in our 5 Star Senior Living Community to serve our residents and provide quality services to our elders with the choices they deserve.  We currently have day and evening Full-time and Part-time positions available.   

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    1. Must have a smile on your face and give great customer service at all times to residents, partners, and guests.
    2. Must have good attendance.
    3. Must be able work hand in hand with the nursing department in order to serve the residents.
    4. Prepare and set-up of all menu items according to standards.
    5. Accurately service hot and cold food items, condiments, utensils, etc. onto trays on a moving tray line according to tray tickets and menu spread sheets.
    6. Restocks cafeteria of other areas with food and supplies in a courteous, timely manner.
    7. Serve meals to residents in a courteous, timely manner.
    8. Scrape dirty trays and dishes and the loading and unloading of the dish machine.
    9. Hand wash pots and pans, and other designated items.
    10. Maintain the kitchen facilities in a sanitary manner including floors, walls, all equipment, and utensils.
    11. Safely handles a variety of chemicals and educates employees about the same.
    12. Assists in kitchen where needed.
    13. Ensures that a clean and safe environment is maintained.
    14. Communicates and cooperates with dietary personnel and other departments.
    15. Maintains resident rights and confidentiality.
    16. Interacts positively with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors under a variety of conditions and circumstances.
    17. Follows Universal precautions and Infection Control techniques.

    Qualifications

    Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

    Licensure/Certification: None Applicable.

    Experience: 0-2 year’s food service experience in a long term care or similar setting preferred.

    Knowledge/Aptitude:

    1. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly, and/or emotionally upset.
    2. Must be able to communicate in English.
    3. Must be detail oriented and have excellent literacy and writing, documentation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
    4. Must have the ability to add and subtract (as in setting up salads or counting trays) and multiply and divide (as in exploring recipes to forecasted needs).
    5. Must have knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling (i.e. min & max temperatures of food).
    6. Must have knowledge of the care and use of food service equipment and kitchen equipment.
    7. Must have knowledge of basic nutrition and modified diets.
    8. Must have the ability to work fast and efficiently in order to serve meals at a specified time.
