Otterbein Cridersville has an opening for a Maintenance Worker.  The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Worker is to assist in all phases of Maintenance & Groundskeeping tasks throughout the Otterbein Cridersville Campus.  This includes completing assisgned jobs related to painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, moving, mechanical and other general repairs.  This is a full time position, primarily Monday-Friday, with rotating emergency on-call.

  • Maintains a comfortable, safe and secure environment for the residents, their families, visitors and partners.
  • Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including general repairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
  • Assists with moving of residents’ furnishings as needed.
  • Paints residents' living quarters as needed.
  • Assists with the on-going preventative maintenance program of cleaning, repairing and operating equipment, which minimizes abnormal equipment failure.
  • Assists with groundskeeping, weeding, mulching, and snow-removal.
  • Assists with maintaining documentation of: the following  fire safety evacuation plan, fire drills, disaster plan, smoking policy, fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher maintenance and testing reports, generator testing logs, water temperatures, flame spread ratings of interior finishes, and other maintenance records.
  • Assists with transportation tasks as needed.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.



Maintenance Worker | Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices

  • Education:   High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Licensure/Certification:  Holds a valid Ohio driver’s license
  • Experience:  General Maintenance - Electrical, Plumbing and Carpentry Experience, Mechanical Experience on H.V.A.C., Mowers and Vehicles.
