The primary responsibility of the Payroll Coordinator is to assist with the timely and accurate weekly processing of payroll for the various companies within Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices.
Must maintain complete confidentiality of payroll sensitive data and HIPAA protected information.
Must adhere and enforce Otterbein policies and procedures.
Must follow all appropriate taxation rules and regulations.
Import and review time punches imported from UTA
Submit accurate and timely periodic tax files to Ultimate Tax processing
Communicate with the various Human Resource designees to ensure the integrity of the payroll data including data related to new hires, terminations, transfers, rate changes, etc., and make necessary updates.
Process special and/or manual payrolls as required.
Assist the Human Resource designees or the Otterbein partners with payroll questions as they relate to PTO, garnishments, pay calculations, etc.
Assist with the accurate and timely year end processing of W-2’s and assist with research as necessary.
Assist with 401K, 5500 and other payroll reporting and auditing as needed.
Train new staff designees at Otterbein locations on payroll software and adherence to policies and procedures.
Provide management, internal and external customers with payroll related reports/data as requested.
Assist with data collection for various internal and external audits.
Other duties as assigned
High School diploma required. Associate’s Degree with emphasis on business or bookkeeping preferred.
2 years’ experience with computerized payroll processing with UltiPro and/or UTA preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel.
Able to handle and protect highly confidential information.
Must be detail oriented with excellent organization and time management skill
