Overview

Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices has an opening for a fulltime, non-exempt A/R Billing Specialist. This position will be located at our Corporate Headquarters in Lebanon, OH.

 

SUMMARY

This position has responsibility for insurance billing and collections for Otterbein Skilled Nursing Facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Business Office functions
  • Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care insurance billing and collections for skilled nursing facilities
  • Accurately verifying patient insurance benefits
  • Preparation and submission of complete and accurate billing
  • Timely and effective resolution and follow up on collections
  • Technically savvy with computer software programs.  Ability to understand and troubleshoot computer software.

Qualifications

Skills Required:

 

  • Strong organizational and excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and follow through on accounts
  • Good follow through on task and duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work independently

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Three or more years’ experience with Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care insurance benefit verification and/or billing for skilled nursing facilities
  • Good working knowledge of PointClickCare or other nursing home billing software required.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Prior experience as a Business Office Manager in a skilled nursing facility preferred
  • Prior experience with the Medicaid application process and assistance to applicants including attending any required meetings or hearings while providing excellent customer service to the applicant
  • Associates Degree in Business preferred with an emphasis on Accounting; however, relevant, documented experience in the field will be considered
